This advanced class will build on the fighting fundamentals learned from “AKnowledge: The Fundamentals”.

The focus will be on developing more robust fighting skills that accommodate each individual students shooting competency. 

Study of movement, ambidextrous weapon handling DURING the engagement, multitasking, focus on lowered fighting platforms, advanced concepts of horizontal, vertical and directional displacement, advanced cornering geometry and using the rifle in combatives realm (retention, takedowns, strikes) will be addressed. 

This is physically and mentally demanding and challenging class. 

Your equipment and gear will be put to the test through rigorous drills and challenges. 


  • Elevating weapon handling to a state of a free flow.
  • Re-engineering shooting platform for mobility. 
  • Advanced movement: Initiation of action from three levels. 
  • 360 degree coverage from three levels. 
  • Cornering geometry: Concepts of L, T, cross intersections and their utilization for entries. 
  • Rifle as alternative force tool: Use of bio-mechanics and geometry in combative realm of weapon retention, take-downs and impact work.

What to bring:

  • One VERY open mind
  • One ready to work body
  • AK pattern rifle with a sling (2 point preferred). You can get one at www.originalsoegear.com
    (AR or any other intermediate cartridge semiautomatic or selective fire rifle with detachable magazine is OK)
  • Minimum of six magazines for your rifle. Two of them to remain unloaded at all times.

  • Minimum of two (2) magazines for your handgun.
  • Knee pads and elbow pads highly recommended
  • 600 rounds of rifle ammunition.

  • If available, 5 rounds of snap caps/dummy rounds of appropriate caliber for your rifle.
