This custom hybrid class, designed by the request of the hosts, will cover combined elements and skillsets from two of our fundamental courses, “Fight Hacker: Escapeology” and “Shooter/Fighter Matrix-1”, integrating essential concepts of close quarters/clinch combatives and close range handgun deployment/utilization.
This course will be fast-paced, two-day (18 training hours) event, with elements of hands-on combatives and live-fire training.
The “Escapeology” portion of the course will be focused on understanding, actualizing, and building functional principles, concepts, and skills of purposeful movement – both unarmed and armed applications, while progressing from disadvantageous position/situation to dominating the fight.
Escape is often perceived as disengagement, retreat, as “running away”.
In the context of trained applicable tactics, escape is a controlled reset of the initiative.
Loading the process of that reset with robust proactive measures and trained and pressure-tested multi-disciplinary skills transforms it from hasty retreat into wholesome, quick, and seamless transition to the situation of opportunity and domination.
The “Shooter/Fighter Matrix” portion of the course takes the path of first defining where each student stands as a shooter AND as a fighter with the gun. Through thoughtfully designed drills, each student will be able to diagnose individual issues and problem areas. Drills gradually and progressively will take students from the square one-way range shooting realm into a much more complex and chaotic realm of a gunfight. Attributes and components of the distinct stages of actions within the gunfight will be introduced in order to not only evaluate and diagnose but to expose and eliminate dogmatic habits that impede one’s ability to function with efficiency and robustness in a fight.
Integration of components from two distinct classes will give attendees an objective perspective on uncensored realities of violence AND robust baseline skills and competence.
