This one day class is a fundamental primer for gun owners of all experience levels, who are objectively concerned about their ability to access, utilize and retain their handgun in a situation where deadly force is an appropriate response, yet due to extremely close proximity, contact and surprise factors, one has to fight in order to be able to put the firearm to its intended use.
Data and statistics reveal that majority of violent encounters take place within 7 feet distance, and significant percentage of those happen within arms reach.
Home invasions, carjackings, robberies, sexual assaults- all have this in common- they happen quickly, in very close quarters and involve hands on contact of violent nature.
In order to cover the gap between initial stage of the assault and the stage where the defender gains ability to deploy and use the firearm to defend self, we have to address the facts of those dark and chaotic moments in between.
This is a crucial skill set for ALL gun owners, but especially for those who don’t possess or may not be able to utilize the advantages of size and strength.
